This January, we invite you to the AMRM Gallery where six contemporary artists will present new interpretations of this iconic city. These artists are sharing their experiences in the city using different modes of expression from abstract watercolor paintings to realist photography. This show covers a variety of artistic mediums with each work on paper framed to capture NYC art by a new generation of artists.

This fall, we invite you into the AMRM Gallery to experience the work of seven different artists as they offer new takes on an art historical genre, Surrealism. Perfected by artists like Salvador Dali, Frida Khalo, and René Magritte, surrealism took popularity in the early to mid-20th century. Now, in 2024, we present seven brand-new takes on surrealism. Each painting expresses new ideas and techniques by local New York City artists.

In the paintings and drawings Marin builds and disects surrealistic lands and characters that are bipolar in nature. Marin meditates on the inextricable links between the conscious man and the jungle, masculine and feminine, between the lightness and darkness of being. Marin's concrete awareness of this bipolarity inhabits the physical and psychological spaces of the paintings.
