AMRM Gallery Presents The New Surreal.
This fall, we invite you into the AMRM Gallery to experience the work of seven different artists as they offer new takes on an art historical genre, Surrealism. Perfected by artists like Salvador Dali, Frida Khalo, and René Magritte, surrealism took popularity in the early to mid-20th century. Now, in 2024, we present seven brand-new takes on surrealism. Each painting expresses new ideas and techniques by local New York City artists.
Fourteen paintings will be on display that combine color and texture to provide a small representation of contemporary surrealism in New York City. Each painting works together to build a space of exploration for each visitor. All seven artists brought a fresh perspective of art commenting on the human experience.
