Join us into the world of childlike wonder in the works of Alysha Marko. Fragments of Enchantment explores the dichotomy between childhood dreams and adult realities. Walk through the creativity of Alysha Marko as she shows her new colorful works. Fragments of Enchantment explores the art of being grounded in your reality yet allowing yourself to continue dreaming like a child.
Each work in this show has been completed between 2023 -2024 and combines jewel tones with earthy hues to create a grounded fairytale. Painting her perceptions of the shiny things around you, Alysha Marko is venturing into the world of narcissism, lifestyle balance, and romanticizing life through abstract and figural oil paintings.
Heavily influenced by Alysha’s background in Psychology, this shows both challenges and accepts the idea of the “Recovering Narcissist”, a term that has intrigued the artist for a time. Inspired by art historical traditions like the reclining woman and the female nude, Alysha has taken on conversations of vanity and self-reflection.
FRAGMENTS OF ENCHANTMENT will be on view at AMRM Gallery starting from November 21, 2024, to December 21, 2024. The gallery is located at 40 E 75th Street, New York, NY 10021, and is open Tuesday–Sunday 11 am–6 pm. Admission to the exhibition is free.

“It’s about creating enchantment in the events surrounding your life. It’s about overcoming obstacles like vanity, pushing the bouNdaries of expectations, staying grounded balancing your childhood dreams with your adult action, and confronting the narcissistic parts of vanity in the mirror. I’m trying to show what’s inside me, the connection between my heart and my mind instead of what I look like.”
